About Us

In an effort to create an environment conducive to exploration of the French Culture, we initiate the UEAB French Club. We still strive to fulfill our objectives, as they are stated in our mission statement. Ultimately, this club will be a channel for social and academic relationship-building. The will provide a sense of assimilation for persons with similar interests in the French language and culture.

OUR MISSION

The purpose of the UEAB French Club is to promote French studies on the campus and to stimulate interest in Francophone cultures. UEAB French Club supports study abroad and a positive global outlook. The French Club organizes on-campus and off-campus activities that enrich French awareness and outreach in the community. The Club will attend special events related to the French language and Francophone cultures.

FOCUS

Our focus is to get richer and deeper into the French Culture. We have planned our activities around popular French activities as well as the French everyday living style. Although we welcome anyone with an interest in the French language, culture, and people, we are pushing to better acquaint you to the “French mentality”. We want to allow you to experience, taste, feel, hear, and speak what “French” is all about. We are going to borrow some of the French traditions and bring them to the University of Eastern Africa Baraton. Although you may be familiar with a few of them, we are certain many of them will be new for you.
